Absolutely. We work with many first-time hosts. We provide step-by-step guidance, all the promotional materials you need, and personal support throughout the process. If you can book a venue and spread the word locally, you can host IF4.
Theatres work great, but they're not required. Community halls, lodge spaces, brewery event rooms, church halls, and even outdoor venues with a screen have all hosted successful IF4 events. We'll help you think through what works for your situation.
Expect to spend 8–15 hours total over 4–6 weeks: booking the venue, promoting locally, and managing night-of logistics. We handle the films, provide your marketing assets, and offer a $50 print credit. You focus on what you know best—your community.
Yes. You'll receive high-quality posters, social media graphics, email templates, and a $50 print credit for local materials. We also provide tips on local promotion that have worked for other hosts. You're never starting from scratch.
Life happens. If you need to reschedule or cancel, reach out as early as possible. We work with hosts to find solutions—whether that's moving to a new date or deferring to next season. We're here to make this work for you.
Early. We allocate screening locations on a first-come, first-served basis and preference is given to returning screeners. Prime markets are allocated quickly. Once we confirm your location is available, we recommend submitting your application at least 6-8 weeks before your event to maximize ticket sales
